Broken Oaks & Fallen Pines

Ever look at a fallen tree & peek inside its circled rings of life? Each one holds a moment in time upon its calloused bark, yet they keep these secret tales, deep within their trunks. They once embraced beauty, strength & grace, as they stood upon this sacred land & provided a protected habitat. It’s cycle of life never ends; from seed to tree or branch to leaf, each stage has purpose, destiny, a part of God’s perfect plan. Even those that seem to be discarded, are regifted & used to heat & warm our homes. Others lose in dreadful shame, to many destructive fires that destroy & deface our forests. Yet those that frame & shape our houses, give quiet refuge & safety from the worlds troubles & natures storms. From broken Oaks to fallen Pines, I see our circle of life connection. The rings of secret spaces, are like our hardened hearts that often turn to bitter empty places. It takes courage to look inside & overcome the scars of these distant battles. We must remember, there is a reason for each season, a purpose to every stage of life. Maybe we’re slightly broken, but we’re not crushed nor are we untouched by what we see or feel. Perhaps we’ve silently fallen, yet never are we alone or abandoned, no matter what the cause may be. We all make many mistakes yet, no trial or error is ever wasted whenever there is growth. We are more than just a victim of our circumstances, we are Survivors. We too have stood the test of time with strength, dignity, grace & faith. As we pass this on to the next generation, our love of God & country can never be denied or ever be erased. Like broken Oaks & fallen Pines, we are the land of the free & home of the brave. We’re not so quickly forgotten! We must continue to stay strong & stand tall as we bring a purpose to the hopeless & encouragement to the fallen & broken hearted. This is the circle of life…. and this is who we are!

“To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:3‬ ‭

  1. Good post and straight to the point. I am not sure if this is actually the best place to ask but do you folks have any thoughts on where to get some professional writers? Thanks 🙂

  2. Along with the whole thing which appears to be building within this particular subject material, all your viewpoints are generally somewhat exciting. Having said that, I appologize, but I do not subscribe to your whole strategy, all be it refreshing none the less. It seems to me that your commentary are actually not completely rationalized and in actuality you are generally yourself not entirely certain of your argument. In any case I did appreciate examining it.

    1. Hmmm, nor sure I understand your comment, as my posts are specifically directed at expressing emotional battles that we all go thru, then providing a positive response with how to overcome them. In any case, I appreciate you examining Out of the Ashes posts!

  3. Hello! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a group of volunteers and starting a new project in a community in the same niche. Your blog provided us valuable information to work on. You have done a wonderful job!

  4. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100 sure. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
